A
new 42” high-definition professional plasma
display announced by Pioneer Electronics
(USA) Inc. continues to set the standard for high
performance displays with proprietary technologies
that provide brilliant imagery as well as enhanced
functionality for advanced applications that will
capture any audience’s attention. At the
Consumer Electronics Show today, Pioneer introduced
the new PureVision PDP-425CMX, which possessesproprietary
Crystal Emissive Layer technology and PureDrive
Pro circuitry to produce deeper
black levels, smoother transitions and sharp,
bright, more accurate imagery for digital signage,
meeting room, board room and other business functions.
The
display also offers dual slots for utilization
of Pioneer’s Expansion Solutions technology
giving a user the ability to insert a variety
of expansion cards to enhance the audio and
video capabilities of the display. Expansion
cards are available from Pioneer as well as
a variety of third-party manufacturers to create
custom display solutions.
“The new PDP-425CMX features
a number of innovative technologies that expand
the display’s breadth and depth to handle
a wide spectrum of applications far beyond the
capabilities current displays,” said Jim
Krodel, director of industrial display for Pioneer
Electronics (USA) Inc. “This display was
developed for extended flexibility in any professional
setting, as well as any expected future functions.”
Deeper,
Blacker Blacks
The PDP-425CMX employs Pioneer’s proprietary
technologies for greater brightness and improved
contrast levels to reproduce superior images
in a variety of environments, such as brightly
lit shopping malls, event venues and showrooms.
To achieve this, the new display uses Crystal
Emissive Layer technology for a nearly three-dimensional
image onscreen.
The layer is sandwiched between the plasma glass
and the individual light cells and increases
the speed at which each cell is charged and
discharged for an extremely smooth transition
from color to black,
providing more detail in dark scenes and reducing
the overall energy consumption.
With the new technology, luminance efficiency
is improved from previous models with overall
lower power consumption. The display also utilizes
Deep Encased Cell Structure for improved brightness.
This technology deepens each cell, increasing
the display’s overall phosphor area to
offer some of the highest brightness levels
(white peak) in the industry, in addition to
accurately reproducing images
in high definition resolution.
Pure
Drive Pro
Pioneer incorporated its latest PureDrive technology
into the PDP-425CMX for improved performance
and reliability in any professional application.
The new Pure Drive Pro technology, developed
exclusively for the professional display, features
one of the industry’s most powerful signal
processing engines with a 12-bit digital high
performance chip drive. The single chip ensures
full digital image processing with minimal data
loss for all signal types. Further enhanced
image quality
is made possible with Advanced Continuous Emission
IV, which detects the type of content shown
on the screen and dynamically adjusts the grayscale
to create optimum viewing qualities creating
great detail within black areas.
Pioneer’s
plasma displays offer significant longevity
for a commercial user. Sixty thousand
hours is an approximate time for the display
panel to reach half of its original luminescence.
This approximation may vary depending on source
and type of content, settings, environment and
use. This approximation does not provide or
imply any warranty beyond the manufacturer's
standard limited warranty.
