Onkyo
TXSR304 5.1 Channel Receiver
You’ll
find very little differentiation between most
entry-level home theater receivers: passable
performance, negligible processing capabilities
and little (if any) versatility. The TX-SR304
5.1-channel home theater receiver doesn’t
follow that well-trodden path. By giving you
the connections to the A/V components on everyone’s
lips today—HDTVs, digital video recorders,
gaming consoles, etc—the TX-SR304 wants
to broaden your entertainment possibilities,
not limit them to basic DVD and CD playback.
Naturally, you’ll want the audio quality
associated with the Onkyo name. That’s
why we’ve included the circuitry and quality
parts found in other Onkyo home theater receivers:
Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry, 192 kHz/24-bit
DACs, a 32-bit DSP chip, and an H.C.P.S. (High
Current Power Supply) transformer. Finally,
keeping in line with what’s really important,
the TX-SR304 provides a user-friendly, accessible
solution to home entertainment.
Sound
performance: The Onkyo TX-SR304S is a reliable
base on which to build a home theater system.
With 65 watts each for all five 5.1 Channel,
as well as other Onkyo innovations like wide-range
amplifier technology and optimum gain volume
circuitry, you can be sure that you'll get an
audio performance worthy of today’s hi-res
formats.
iPod®-ready:
Connect your iPod through the DS-A1 remote interactive
dock (sold separately).
Multiple
listening modes: Dolby Digital decoding takes
a source with separate 5.1 Channel of audio,
and assigns each one to a respective speaker,
giving you a full surround sound experience.
Also included are DTS Neo:6, and Dolby Pro Logic
II, both of which take sources with only two
5.1 Channel and cranks them up to 5.1 proportions.
This system also features 32-bit digital signal
processing.
Multiple
inputs: The TX-SR304S is HDTV-ready with component
video switching (3 inputs/1 output). You can
make the most of your digital media with three
assignable digital inputs. The color-coded inputs
and outputs make connecting your system a breeze.
A+B
speaker switching: Connect two pairs of speakers
and switch between them with the touch of a
button.
